The Mission of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu
and His Christ

The Comforter

Central to the teaching in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is the role of The Comforter, The Holy Spirit referenced in the Gospel of John. The Comforter (or Counsellor) is the Teacher who comes to remind us of Christ’s teachings, practically demonstrate them, and also expand on them:

‘But the Comforter, which is The Holy Ghost, whom The Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you’

John 14:26

‘I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Howbeit when He, The Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.

John 16:12-13

Our Lord Jesus Christ, realising He had a very short span of time on earth, handed over the aspect of teaching and revision to the person of The Comforter who would fully explain what He meant. Christ never came to establish a church but alluded always to the ‘kingdom of God’ - a way of life-based on living in tune with The Holy Spirit.

The coming of The Comforter in our time means that this way of life – referred to as ‘The Way’ by the early Christians – is now open to all regardless of race, religion, gender, age, social standing or educational attainment.

‘And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd’

John 10:16

Leader Olumba Olumba Obu sets out explicitly in His sermon ‘My Mission’ what His role or assignment on earth is:

‘The major assignment that I have come to do has never been done before nor will it ever be done again. It is to reform a sinner and return him to the standard required by God, so that he may live according to the expectation of God. I have come to establish the new kingdom of God on earth. This is the new heaven and earth wherein dwells righteousness.’

The process of the spiritual reformation of humanity is brought about through the practical application of the Everlasting Gospel, the new record of spiritual teaching which Leader Olumba Olumba Obu has introduced.

The King of Kings and Lord of Lords

Leader Olumba Olumba Obu has explained that the assignment of Our Lord Jesus Christ in His first advent 2000 years ago was to offer His life as a sacrifice for the remission of the sins of humanity. The purpose of His second coming in this incarnation is to rule and take up His throne in Heaven (the spiritual realm) and on earth (the physical realm) as a King. His birth in this present era is documented in the Book of Revelation:

‘And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his head. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to His throne.’

Revelation 12: 1-5

This person is identified in Revelation as a Spiritual warrior, clothed in a red garment and bearing an obscure name. His followers are pictured as armies dressed in white. He goes by the name King of kings and Lord of lords, and The Word of God.

‘And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.

And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God.

And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, King of kings, And Lord Of lords.’

Revelation 19: 11-16

Jehovah God and His Christ

The Father and the Son are inseparably one: in the Father is found the Son, and in the Son, the Father richly dwells; and through Him (Son), the Father administers the kingdom. .John: 10:30
