Membership in BCS

Membership of BCS is through baptism – total immersion in water in the name of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is in fulfillment of the words of Our Lord

Jesus Christ recorded in the Gospel of John:

‘Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.’

John 3:5

Christ set the standard, baptised by John the Baptist

‘And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him’

Matthew 3:16

Only The Father calls a person to come in

Leader Olumba Olumba Obu has intimated that no one chooses to become a BCS member, rather it is The Father that calls a person to come in. Every member has their own individual story as to how they came into BCS and these form the body of testimonies which are the bedrock of the kingdom. BCS members are drawn from all walks of life. Most are ordinary people with extraordinary stories. There is no hierarchy in BCS. The Father is the head and everyone else is ‘brother’ and ‘sister’. Men and women can equally preach and conduct services. However, BCS members are organised according to their ‘pew’ and are appointed to these and other positions by The Holy Father alone. These roles are spiritual designations based on individual calling.

The Christ Shepherds

The Holy Father has recently created a new Heavenly order called The Christ Shepherds.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” 1 Peter 2:9
